Typical treatment for acupuncture
Before the primary appointment, clients usually complete a questionnaire health history. Acupuncturist asks the client about his or her first concern of health, a familiar lifestyle, diet, emotions, menstrual cycle, sleep, temperature, appetite, stress and sensitivity to foods, temperature and season. During the interview, the acupuncturist examines the client carefully, noting his or her face color, voice, color and coating of the language. There are also three pulse points at the wrist of each hand to prod the acupuncturist, determining the health of 12 meridians.
After questioning, the acupuncturist makes a diagnosis and begin treatment.Typically, the acupuncturist will use 6.12 needles for each treatment. The number of needles used does not match the intensity of treatment, rather it is - the exact placement of needles, which is of great importance.
When pricking, the client may feel a slight sting or prick. Once the needle is inserted, there should be no pain. You will feel comfortable during treatment. If, however, experience pain or discomfort, advise the acupuncturist immediately.
The duration of treatment varies from several seconds to one hour or more. The typical length - about 20 - 30 minutes. The acupuncturist may use these techniques during treatment:
Moha - heating needle retention of dried herbs to prepare and warm the place of acupuncture.Cupping - the use of glass cups to create suction on the skin. This should reduce the stagnation of qi and blood, such as a sports injury.
Herbal Medicine - Chinese herbs may be given in the form of teas, pills and capsules to enhance acupuncture treatment.
Elektrostimulation - provides electrical stimulation to two - four needles. Can be used to help with pain and muscle aches.
Laser acupuncture - without the use of needle-stimulation.
