Night snacking can lead to tooth loss

In Denmark, was an experiment, whose results demonstrate that the same could happen to those who love to chew anything in the kitchen or in a cafe at night.

It turns out all night eaters have problems with their teeth. The experiment involved more than two thousand citizens of Denmark. The results showed that more than 150 people will not give up a night snack (ie 8 per cent of respondents). It is at these eight percent of teeth "fly" the only way.

For six years they have lost more teeth than those citizens who do not abuse the evening or
night promenade to the refrigerator. Results of the experiment, as scientists say, is not dependent on either of gender or age, nor the social status of citizens. Were not taken into account and bad habits.

The main cause of tooth loss - a constant flow of saliva. Saliva does not sufficiently distinguished in the evening or at night, as we all know that in this time of the day all physiological processes are slowed down. Leftover food can not be disposed of, in connection with the teeth and be destroyed. Board of dental technicians - do not eat at night or do not eat an hour before the last clean his teeth before bedtime.
